Bettas Families,

The following are details for our home meet against Loudoun Valley Estate this Saturday. Please take a minute to review! Heat Sheets will be posted by tomorrow. Also, athlete checking will be by age group and gender with your clerk going forward. Clerks, when you check in to volunteer, pick up your age group checkin sheet and when you feel you've checked in everyone, return it to the computer table before the meet starts.

Coach Shannon has changed which events some of your swimmers are in based on whether they can legally swim the stroke yet and if the team needs more swimmers in certain events. Please review the Heat Sheets prior to the meet to understand any changes and to mentally prepare your swimmers if they are in different events than you signed them up for.

Also, make sure to note if your swimmer is in a relay and if you won't be staying until the end of the meet, let the Coach know soonest....it is not good to find out we are missing someone right before the relay as that is unfair to the other swimmers on your swimmer's relay.

Schedule:

• 6:15am – Set-up crew arrives
• 7:15am – Arrive
• 7:20am – Brambleton Warmups
• 7:30am – Timers Briefing (on deck) - Corner near the DJ
• 7:35am – Officials Briefing (on deck) - Pool steps between DJ and computer table
• 7:40am – Loudoun Valley Estate Warmups
• 7:55am – National Anthem (6Us should be lined up in chairs at this time)
• 8:00am – Start

Location:

We host our meets at the Brambleton Community Center Pool, located at 42645 Regal Wood Drive.

Parking:

The HOA has closed a portion of the parking lot. There are minimal spaces. Please use those spots and any LEGAL street parking noted below. Please have respect for the residents and do not park in front of their driveways. See picture below for green parking areas. Note you can only park on the side of the street with the green area denoted. We will have parking marshalls out making sure folks park in the designated areas.

We need to keep the route to the pool gates OPEN for emergency vehicles. Please do not set up your chairs/tents in that route.

Please note the following important information and helpful hints:

The Heat Sheets will be available tomorrow. Please download it to your mobile device or print a copy so that you can keep track of your swimmers’ events. Also, you can download the “swimtopia” app to your phone phone to track your swimmer's events. If you want to receive live updates during the meet, you’ll need to subscribe to the annual pro membership via the app.

Our concession volunteers have been busy getting ready! Come hungry! Cash only.

Families can set up towels/chairs, etc. in the field. Remember, we need to keep the emergency route to the gate clear. Do not set up your stuff in that route!

Swimmers can bring games, books, and other distractions for when they aren’t swimming.

Consider bringing a tent or canopy and make sure your child has plenty of sunscreen and water.

Make sure your child checks in with their age-group Clerk right before or right after warmups. They'll be holding signs that have the age-group on them. Swimmers should stay in the area during the meet and near their Clerk to avoid missing an event. Also, that clerk will have the athlete check in sheet.

Please stay out of any roped off areas for the safety of coaches, swimmers, and officials. Do not crowd the timers. Those areas are not for spectators. Spectators are welcome to watch the meet from the beach-entry side of the pool.

Volunteers please check in by 4:45pm. The volunteer coordinator will be wearing a yellow vest and will be standing outside the pool gate near the grassy staging area.

If you are not volunteering, but feel like helping out, please find Nehal Panchamia. There are always unexpected holes and we can always use the extra help.

Remember, volunteering is the only way this organization runs. If you’re signed up to be a volunteer, be there! If you absolutely cannot make it, notify Nehal Panchamia as soon as you know. If you miss your volunteer assignment and do not notify Nehal, you will be fined $50 and your child will not be permitted to swim. Holes in the lineup are hard to fill on the fly and usually means someone else must cover for you that already did their job.
